The Warcraft Formula

World of Warcraft is a land of elites. The game has been online for four years now and I would swear that some players have been online the entire time, pretty much destroying anyone in their path to become the best around. So, it’s no surprise that people look for new guides all the time to help them get better and get a little closer to the expert players in the game. Luckily, every now and then a guide actually comes along that can help normal folks like you and me become a top player in this world of elites. The Warcraft Formula is the newest, and arguably best, of the guides.

To be accurate, the Warcraft Formula isn’t a single guide. It’s a series of guides, with a new one created and delivered to you every month. This is really an ingenious solution when you think about it. You pay an upfront fee to get something called the Fast Track Action Plan, along with a copy of every single guide that’s already been published. The Fast Track Action Plan includes everything from an outline of how to build out your character, modify your UI, the right class and professions to go for, to how to get yourself invited into a guild, get your feet wet in PvP without getting humiliated, and get invited on raids. Then each month the Warcraft Formula team will create and send you a new guide with the latest game information in it.

I reviewed the first guides. They were full of first class content. Each guide was about 30 pages long and included three feature articles, the top news stories of the month, answers to readers’ questions, a suggested action plan for the month and a sneak peek at what the next installment of Warcraft Formula will cover. Each feature was full of useful content on all sorts of important topics, from building up a effective strategy for your Death Knight to the science of building a 10-player raid. While they don’t tell you everything in the most minute detail, but you still get a lot more than you find in the general strategies found in most of the Warcraft guides already on the market. To top things off, you get a whole bunch of extras with the guide. The first extra was the Fast Track Action Plan.

To wrap up this review, let me say that this is an impressive new idea that provides something I’ve never seen before in a WoW product: a never-ending stream of continually updated information straight from the mouths (or pens) of real experts. You get a new ebook every month, chock full of information you actually want and need, that isn’t already obsolete or nerfed to uselessness for a reasonable monthly fee, covering every aspect of the game. Grab this fast to pull yourself ahead of the competition and move toward the ranks of the Warcraft elite.
